Sheila most known as “Salsa Sheila” has been teaching and producing events in Atlanta for over 20 years. She grew up in a family of music learning classical Indian dance and music. Her love of music and dance continued where she discovered latin music in 1997. She was hooked and began learning salsa, merengue, cha cha cha, and eventually began her own dance company.

She founded the first “on 2” dance school in Atlanta and produced over 100+ on2 social dancers. Her company performed in regional as well as local salsa congresses. From 2004-2007 she produced the Atlanta Salsa Congress which featured a weekend of dance workshops, concerts and shows.

Today, she continues her love for salsa by producing the  longest running Social in Atlanta along with other special events with local Latin Promoters.  Occasionally you can catch her performing and/or Mcing at local and regional events.

Sheila believes that one must not just dance to music but feel the music and allow that to guide how you move in tandem with the spirit of the song. It is a partnership between the dancer and his/her interpretation of the music.
